Our latest Aconcagua Expedition for the 2024-2025 season kicked off on December 27, 2024, and the journey has been nothing short of epic. This expedition not only showcased the challenges and triumphs of high altitude climbing, but also set the stage for future adventures like Aconcagua 2026.

Itinerary Highlights

Our carefully planned itinerary ensured that every step of our journey was meticulously organized:

  • December 27, 2024: Arrival and team briefing in Mendoza.

  • December 28-31, 2024: Acclimatization treks to Plaza de Mulas and intermediate camps.

  • January 1-7, 2025: Progressive acclimatization with rest days and load carries.

  • January 8, 2025: Summit day! We reached the top of Aconcagua (6,962m) at approximately 14:30 and returned to camp by 19:00.

  • January 9-12, 2025: Descent and transfer back to Mendoza, wrapping up the expedition.

Expedition Results

Our team gave it their all during the summit push:

  • Laura Marie Schlichting (USA) celebrated a successful summit.

  • Andrew Warren Schlichting (USA) reached 6,720m and patiently waited for the rest of the team to descend.

  • Patrick Perroni (Switzerland) also reached the summit with determination.

  • Karsten König (Germany) climbed to 6,100m before having to withdraw.

  • Aisada König Uchugonova (Germany) made it to the summit.

  • Nido Conde Costa (Brazil) opted to only climb to base camp—an experience he found very rewarding.

  • Lucas Machado Couto Bezerra (Brazil) unfortunately had to descend due to a health issue at base camp.

  • Diego Jean Coelho (Brazil) summited, adding another success to our record.

  • Jorge Spur (Argentina, guide) achieved summit status as well.

  • Additionally, Manuel Ken (Argentina, guide) reached the summit, while Nico Aguirre (Argentina, guide) had to descend with a client back to base.

Our summit day on January 8, 2025, was a testament to our team’s perseverance, as we reached the top around 14:30 and safely returned to camp by 19:00 after a 12-hour round-trip that pushed our limits and united us in the pursuit of greatness.
