The expedition was led superbly by Max and Edu, who cared for the whole team. The tents were solid and expertly secured to withstand high winds. Despite a few issues with the mules, every problem was swiftly overcome. The group was fantastic, and I was extremely happy and satisfied with the experience.
Hey Max, your approach was exactly what I needed to reduce my stress and disappointment. Even though I didn’t summit, every word you said resonated with me deeply and helped shift my perspective. Your insights reminded me that it’s not just about reaching the summit, but about the entire journey and the lessons learned along the way. Your support and psychological guidance have made a significant difference, and that is why you are truly the best. Thank you for always being there and for helping me see the bigger picture. 🙏🙏
On January 31st at 2 pm local time, I reached Aconcagua’s summit at 6,961 m (22,837 ft) after over 7 hours battling extreme conditions—strong winds, -35 °C, and very low oxygen. The challenge pushed me to my physical and mental limits, yet it remains one of the best experiences of my life. Amid raging storms outside and within, my focus never wavered. My deepest thanks to Maximo Kausch and the incredible Andes Specialists team—a group you can truly trust. I’m forever grateful to every member of our climbing group, especially George Kalbin, Felix, Fabian Hugelshofer, Ryan Pyle, Jesse Rosenberg, Chad Ingraham, Caio Vilela, Kristen, Fiona, Kurt Schobesberger, Yan, and Quentin, as well as the Brazilian team whose energy warmed our journey. THANK YOU all—it was like magic.
